SPSF Performance Center
The SPSF Performance Center (pilot project) is the benchmark for performance sports in Pole & Aerial Sports in Switzerland. Its aim is to bring together, coach and develop athletes on a competitive path, within a structured, ethical and performance-oriented framework.
Mission
Create a training and support environment that enables :
- increase the quality of athlete preparation,
- consolidate a coherent “performance sport” culture in Switzerland,
- support the national dynamic around SPSF competitions and international objectives.
This approach is in line with the evolution of the SPSF and the development of mass sport and, progressively, performance sport.
For whom?
➡️ Confirmed athletes or young talents identified
- Swiss Team members and/or athletes involved in a national/international race.
- Athletes preparing for SPSF national championships and, depending on the season, IPSF events.
- Young talent identified by the identification of the next generation program
➡️ Young people in sports-study programs (students/apprentices)
- Young athletes aiming to participate in a sports-study program (compulsory or post-compulsory), requiring structured supervision and coordination between sports and education.
➡️ Trainers
- Active (or aspiring) coaches wishing to develop skills specific to performance sports.
➡️ Member structures
- SPSF structures wishing to steer certain athletes towards a more competitive path (in line with federation requirements and regulations).
What we do in concrete terms
1) Training and group sessions
Sessions tailored to seasonal objectives (Swiss Team, elite, specific preparation, technical requirements).
2) Preparation for national championships and other competitions (2026 pilot project)
A dedicated preparation area (pilot project) for athletes aiming for national championships or other demanding competitions: conditioning, areas for improvement, competition requirements, optimization of the training program.
3) Off-season IPSF competition (2026 pilot project)
Setting up an off-season competition to offer elite athletes :
- a second IPSF competition opportunity in the year (in addition to the national championships),
- a preparation tool for athletes qualifying for world championships (real-life testing, feedback, routine management).
4) Practical training for coaches (in preparation for 2026)
Workshops and practical time, complementary to the specific Senpeza training to reinforce :
- training methodology,
- technical analysis (and understanding of competition expectations),
- safe, long-term support for athletes.
5) Sports-study program
- Guidance toward the right type of measure (reduced schedule, occasional leave, sports-study structures, etc.).
- Preparation of the elements expected in applications: training schedule, competition program, results, and certification/notification elements if required.
- Implementation of a “sports-training” follow-up: training load, season priorities, points of contact (parents/coach/advisor).
2026-2027 objectives, SPSF strategic alignment
The development of performance sport at the SPSF is based in particular on :
- promoting and improving competitions (amateur and elite),
- the development of Swiss championships and the conditions under which they are run,
- support for the Swiss national team, with improved training conditions and, in the long term, detection/coaching of young talent.
