National Pole Sports and Para Pole Championships

Pole Sports is a discipline centred on athletic performance, physical mastery and the execution of particularly demanding technical and acrobatic elements.

In competition, performances are assessed according to a structured and detailed Code of Points. This includes the difficulty of elements and combinations, quality of execution, compulsory elements, technical deductions, and the artistic and choreographic components of the performance.

This rigorous system allows performances to be assessed as objectively and consistently as possible and establishes high standards of competition, judging and technical mastery.

Para Pole is the para-sport discipline of Pole Sports and is intended for athletes with different types of impairments.

Performances are assessed according to the Pole Sports Code of Points, supplemented by specific provisions for Para Pole. A classification system groups athletes according to the impact of their impairment on sporting performance, with the aim of creating competition conditions that are as fair as possible.

As in other para sports, classification aims to ensure that competition results are determined as far as possible by the athlete’s sporting performance rather than by the degree of functional limitation.
